Biografisch drama over miskende Franse beeldhouwster, leerlinge, model, rivale en bovenal minnares van Auguste Rodin. Camille Claudel is een zeer getalenteerde beeldhouwster. Op 19 jarige leeftijd wordt ze aangenomen als assistent van de grote Rodin. Claudel adoreert hem zo dat ze werkelijk alles voor hem over heeft, zowel op artistiek als op privé gebied. Haar relatie met Rodin verslechtert als ze zich gaat realiseren dat hij nooit met haar zal trouwen en dat ze altijd op de 2e plaats onder Rose Beuret, de geliefde van Rodin, zal blijven.
